First question: how did it become 2013 all of a sudden? What happened to 2012?
Now that it’s here, though, I suppose I should do something with it. Fortunately, thirteen has always been one of my favorite numbers. Weird, I know.
So! What to do in 2013, is now the question. Somewhere on the interweb, I came across the idea of “13 for 2013” (it’s not a new/fresh idea, I’m sure, so forgive me for losing track of the original source).
I started my list earlier today, and it was full of resolution-y type things, like “Be organized,” “Stop and smell the roses/daisies/sunflowers,” “Accomplish something everyday,” etc. Now, while perfectly respectable ideas, there’s nothing really quantifiable about these things. And, boy, do I like to quantify things!
Thus, I’m shifting the more esoteric “13 in 2012” to “13 [quantifiable] [achievable] goals for 2013”. And here’s my list:
